This is the specialty. Couché is the vocal producer labels and artists call when the topline has to feel expensive: Couché delivers a polished, radio-ready sound, bridging the gap between complex vocal production and commercial songwriting.
From the first take to the final stack. Fast when it needs to be, obsessive when it matters.
From a bedroom producer to an international music career.
Couché is the creative identity of Jann Coucheron-Aamot, an Oslo-based music producer, songwriter, vocal producer and DJ whose journey into electronic music began in 2010.
In 2011, Couché won a music production competition hosted by Stimorol, earning him a VIP trip to Ibiza. That same summer, he attended Tomorrowland, witnessing the golden era of progressive house firsthand. These experiences fueled his passion for electronic music and inspired him to take the next step in his career. The following year, he moved to London to study music production at Point Blank Music School.
Over the following years, he continued developing his craft as a producer and DJ, performing both in Norway and internationally while immersing himself in electronic music.
Between 2017 and 2020, Couché pursued a bachelor's degree in music production and songwriting. During this period, his musical direction began to evolve beyond EDM, developing a deeper interest in songwriting, pop production and the creative possibilities of the human voice.
A defining moment came in 2019.
Spending a week in the studio with acclaimed American songwriter Tayla Parx introduced him to a new perspective on vocal production. The experience sparked a fascination that would eventually become one of his greatest strengths: combining the musical instincts of a songwriter with the technical precision and attention to detail of a producer.
Since then, Couché has established himself as a versatile creative force, collaborating with artists including Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Timmy Trumpet, Gabry Ponte, Felix Jaehn and Sam Feldt. His work spans songwriting, full-scale music production and vocal production, with a particular focus on creating records that connect emotionally while delivering the energy and polish of modern pop and electronic music.
Based in Oslo. Connected worldwide.
Today, Couché operates from his professional recording studio in the heart of Oslo, while frequently traveling internationally for songwriting sessions, collaborations and music camps in destinations such as Berlin, Milan and Ibiza.
He is also a co-founder of Custom Cuts, a creative collective dedicated to bringing artists, producers and songwriters together through collaborative projects, studio sessions and international songwriting camps.
Whether working from his own studio or collaborating with artists around the world, Couché brings the same philosophy to every project: musical intuition, technical precision and an uncompromising attention to detail.
Different roles. One obsession: making great records.
